You've been there?!

I am so very happy right now... just can't stop smiling. Why? This will sound very lame to most of you, except for two (you know who you are :). I just met someone who not only knows of, but has been to, Ceski Krumlov! How in the world?! Ceski Krumlov is a small village in the Czech Republic that belongs in a snow globe it is so beautiful! It is a medieval city with painted brick walls, (which sounds rather tacky, I know, but it is really quite marvelous) and a castle atop the hill looking down over the city and the river running through it. Out of all my travels, it may be the most beautiful village I have ever seen. And it was here that I canoed over my first dam--two to be exact! (This is another story in and of itself!)
To the right of the river in the picture below is where I ate Bavarian "Thumper". He tastes the same over there as he does here, FYI. :-)

These are a couple picturesque spots in the city... the first looking down at the lower part of the castle from the highest point, and the second looking up at the tower from the city street below.

I can't believe someone else has been here! Praise God!

Wow- I got a "shout out" on your blog (albeit not by NAME!) And I recognized my back in one of the pictures - I know your theory - never photograph a human when you can capture a scenery shot :) So who did you meet that's been to Cesky Krumlov?! I agree with you that it was the cutest little town ever. I blew up one of my Cesky Krumlov pix and hung it in my dining room. Anyway, it was fun to remember going over the dam(s)! What a day....
