could it be?

I am sitting here at Starbucks finding it unusually difficult to concentrate on the paper I should be typing. Why is today so unusual? Well, I think the person known as “the mountain man” may be working behind the counter! If this name means nothing to you, let me quickly fill you in. He is supposedly named Andrew and is someone I met on the trail in Colorado last summer while backpacking with camp. He was leading a father/son day hike working for Noah’s Ark. After a minute of talking, the connection was made that he knew of my school and was heading out here after the summer to work at this Starbucks. Up until now, I have not seen him here… and maybe I still haven’t. I honestly don’t remember what he looks like. Andrew had reddish hair, a full beard, trim fit, medium height… a.k.a. very cute. But this guy… I don’t know. He has strawberry blond hair, no beard, glasses (I don’t remember if Andrew had glasses or not), and the rest fits the description… but he does seem a bit young.

So, you are thinking, “why don’t you just ask him what his name is?” Well, I don’t want to ask what his name is, because I feel like everyone who is working today has heard me ask about some guy named Andrew. I am beginning to feel absolutely stupid, and I will feel stupid if I ask one more time. They are going to start thinking I am stalking him or something. I suppose I am if looking for someone who fits his description every time I go to Starbucks can be considered stalking.

No; for now I will just stay where I am… precisely positioned in a place where I can hear the name if it is mentioned from behind the counter. I am beginning to think it is a no, but since he is the closest match yet after three months of looking, I can’t lose heart too quickly. :-)
