Counting down the days

Counting down the days is something I never anticipated myself doing. I always think that every day will be fantastic, despite the lack of one comfort or another. Something I have experienced as of late, however, is that the lack of desired comforts gets to a person after a while. At first, everything seems normal and doable, but then you begin to desire all that you can’t have. I try to think, “Oh, it’s not that bad. Just look at all the great things that you do have available to you!” But this does not always work. It may get me through the next few hours of the day, or even couple days of the week, but the thoughts return quickly.


The remaining days are not very numerous. They started at a whopping forty and are now down to a mere, but incredibly long five. In five days, a wonderful creation will return to me. Lent will be over and Kyrgyz ice cream will be in my mouth. :)
