What in the world!

Over the course of the last month, all people (with the exception of old women and babies) have shed their winter jackets and sometimes even spring jackets. Many young men are now outdoors in their t-shirts, and even I have tossed my winter boots and tennies for my beloved Chaco's!

Today we had a surprise in the weather, though. There have been many rain showers over the last few weeks, but not since a month ago have there been snow showers! I could not believe my eyes! Snow, snow, snow... all day long. All I can say is that it better not continue through the week. For the last month we have had temps in the 60's and 70's, with yesterday being the warmest day yet!

Thankfully, I went hiking yesterday instead of today, which was the original plan. There is still too much snow on the peaks to go very high, but those days will come—hopefully before I leave. The wild tulips, lilies, and daffodils are beginning to bloom all over the mountains slopes now though, so they make hiking in lower altitudes quite colorful!
