Morning Has Broken

The scene twenty feet from my kitchen window this morning as I typed the earlier post!
This isn't going to be a very long first post since it just took an incredibly long time to get this picture uploaded.  I decided to start this venture with this picture since it's what I looked at this morning and many mornings previous.  I love the colors this time of year.  While we have beautiful aspen and cottonwood trees with brilliant yellow leaves flickering against the dark green pine and bright blue sky backdrops, the majority of the color Montana boasts is on the ground.  Minnesota and New England may have their maples, elms, and oaks, but their ground cover lacks the Montana reds, golds, and greens of the mountain willow, sage, and other ground vegetation.  It truly is stunning at times, especially those such as it was this morning when the morning sun peeks just above the mountain for the first time that day, sending its golden rays onto the golden and green willow fields.  The morning clouds are just passing through the valley, not to be seen again that low until the regular afternoon shower.  And then the scene repeats itself, and I take another picture.
