A Weekend Away

This past weekend, spent in one of my favorite cities, Minneapolis, with two of my favorite people, Kim and Kristi, was absolutely wonderful. The weather was beautiful, allowing us to ride bike along the Mississippi River a couple times, eat lunch on the shore of Lake Calhoun, do some exploring at Minnihaha Falls and at the Witch's Hat Tower, play catch in the park, and of course, eat ice cream outside! How can anyone not like Minnesota?

On Saturday, we made our way out to Crown College for the non-traditional graduation ceremony to celebrate with a few friends. Whenever I am back on the campus I am reminded of how blessed I was to be able to live there for four years (or, 3.5 without Lithuania). It was not until I had left the campus that I realized how unique of a place it is... a private, Christian college that actually had a thriving spiritual life, a rich and real community, professors who truly cared about and invested in the students, and classrooms where students were expected to work and think (at least in most). I loved Crown College and am so thankful for all that God did for and through me there.

I'm one of your FAVORITE people?! Wow - I am touched! That's a good picture of the 3 of us at Minnehaha.
