My thoughts on nothing

aSo many things are currently spinning through my mind...

1. How much fun class this morning was in the president's office, sitting in his chair, and drinking the free coffee he gave us (this would be really nice if we knew it actually was free. In reality... it is coming from the money we give him in some way shape or form). Anyway...

2. The discussion we had in class this morning about seeker-sensitive churches and the stereotypes they get by people who have never sat in a service or at least spent time at consecutive services to really get a feel for it, have never talked to the pastor or leaders to hear their heart in the matter, never asked the leaders questions about why they do what they are doing, and only assume that they are just trying to "entertain" people so it looks like the church is growing and doing really well.

3. SSA - Semantic Structure Analysis - something I learned (or tried to learn) in my Interpreting the New Testament class today.

4. All the dates, names, places, and actions of the OT for my Old Testament Survey final tomorrow night. Asa, Abijah, Ahaziah, Ahaziah again, Ahab, Athaliah, Amaziah, Ahijah, Ahaz, Amon, among others. Oh, and let's not forget Jeroboam I, Jehoram, Jehu, Jehoiahaz, Jehoiash, Jehoash, Jeroboam II, Jehoshaphat, Jehoram again, Jotham, Jehoida, Josiah, Jehoiahaz again, Jehoiakim, and Jehoiachin! And that's only a tiny sliver! The worst part is remembering everything they all did! And then there are all the other kings, judges, prophets, foreign kings, and key figures of the books!

5. Only 3.5 weeks to go until the end. May 7th I'll be home!

6. The exegesis paper I haven't started on John 17:1-5.

7. The position paper I haven't started on my Reformed views.

8. My doctor's appointment tomorrow at 1:30 where I'll find out if I need surgery or not.

9. The simple fact that I am sick of studying and need desperately to get back into the real world.

10. The demonstrations happening in Kyrgyzstan right now and how people have been on a hunger strike for two weeks now and are trying to kick out the president, get early elections, get a new constitution (for the third time in the last 5 months), and be a democratic state like the rest of the Western world in the process. Someone needs to tell them that it just doesn't work that way.

11. And... just the fact that all I want to do is sleep. Lord give me strength!! (Which, I might add is an imperative, which further reminds me of my Greek homework due tomorrow morning at 8:00 am).

3.5 weeks

11. Oh... and maybe the fact that I keep procrastinating like this and all the time I lose in doing so.

Oh well.
